The start

Bramham Park Fun Run 2011

The 13th Bramham Park Fun Run was held on Sunday 9th October despite the poor weather the event was a great success.

456 people registered and the event is expected to raise in the region of GBP7,000 for research into breast cancer.

The event was started by Richard Strachan and Andrew Beadnall. Richard hopes to be part of the British squad for the 2012 London Olympics. Beadnall Copley cover the entire costs of staging the fun run, so all monies raised goes directly to Cancer Research UK.

In the 10K, the first male runner was Andy May from Leeds in a time of 36 min 4 seconds; the first female was Karen Carden from Harrogate in a time of 45 min 3 seconds.

In the 5K, the first male runner was Thomas Dickinson from Hunsingore in 20 min 45 seconds; the first female was Jasmine Pearson from Northallerton in 22 min 56 seconds.
